Research Notes

ASA's Research Notes speak to the new world of risk assessment, cybersecurity, information ethics, and policy. Each research note is designed to provide executives and experts with commentary on single topics or events in a short, digestible format. If you are interested in submitting a research note, please review our guidelines closely.

All six volumes in the Reflections on Risk series are available on Amazon. A seventh and final volume in this series will be published in the first quarter of 2024, after all of the student research notes that Annie selected for publication will have been published on the website.

Starting in January of 2024, we’ll be replacing Research Notes with a new offering titled “Viewpoints,” drawing upon our network of distinguished practitioners, inviting commentary upon some aspect of risk, including but not limited to online security, privacy, and ethics; public-private partnerships; federal regulation; environmental disasters; crisis management; public health threats; cyber and biological incidents; and natural disasters.
